The rich, warm aroma of tangerine oil not only revitalizes your senses it also temps your taste buds...
This delicious fruits was used in ancient times to relieve digestive upset and promote beautiful skin. Tangerines and mandarins often get mistaken for each other due to their similarities. They are however, slightly different in colour and harvested at different times of the year. There is also a slight scent difference between the two. Tangerines have a sweet, citrus aroma where as the mandarin has a light, citrus aroma.
Uses
The essential oil Tangerine is popular in aromatherapy for it ability to uplift and inspire. Its cheerful, sweet fragrance is helpful for PMS symptoms, circulatory and immune health. Sweeter than Orange essential oil, Tangerine blends nicely with other citrus scents offering a tangy floral touch to any mixture. Tangerine oil can also be added to natural creams and lotions to help reduce cellulite, stretch marks and age spots
Thank you for the notes on telling apart tangerines and mandarin organes; it's easy to get confused. I appreciate the note than tangerines have a sweet, citrus aroma where as the mandarin has a light, citrus aroma. Regarding the slightly different in colour and harvest time difference, that is good to know too, and I wish you were more specific here (eg when are tangerines vs mandarins harvested/which one is harvested earlier? Which one is brighter/darker/more intense in color than the other). That said, thanks and tangerine is my favorite as the more floral of the two <3
