What isDMG?
DMG or Dimethylglycine is a derivative of the amino acid glycine. It acts as a building block for many important substances, including the amino acid methionine and others.
It is a safe, non-toxic food substance that does not build up in the body.
Studies have shown supplemental DMG many offer beneficial effects, including helping the body maintain high energy levels and better brain functions. DMG has also been found to enhance the immune system, support healthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels, improve oxygen utilization and normalize blood pressure.
A dietary supplement to support immune system, circulatory, cardiovascular, neurological functions, muscle recovery and endurance. Dimethylglycine (DMG) is a nutrient which is found in the cells of both plants and animals. The human body produces DMG in very small amounts. Supplementing the diet with higher levels of DMG greatly improves the nutritional environment of the cell. Dimethylglycine has been found effective in supporting immune system function and better utilization of oxygen at the cellular level. DaVinci Laboratories of Vermont has been awarded three U.S. Patents for N,N-Dimethylglycine's value and use in improving immunity and for benefiting cellular processes. DMG reduces lactic acid build up in the muscle thereby shortening recovery time after strenuous exercise and improving endurance.
Gluconic DMG is an adaptogen that can be used to maintain good health and benefit performance and productivity.
As a metabolic enhancer, DMG supports the body in times of stress, throughout the aging process, and during immunesystem challenges.
DMG is an intricate part of human metabolism and has been used in the health field as a nutritional supplement for over 25 years.
Research and clinical experience has shown that DMG supplementation supports:
Immune System Health
The immune system is the police force of the body. It is a complex system of cells that defend the body from invading organisms, regulate inflammation and control abnormal cell growth. Many organs are involved in the immune response, the bone marrow, lymphatic system, thymus, liver and spleen. Bone marrow produces red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.
The spleen is a location where immune cells can monitor the blood for foreign matter. It also speeds up red blood cell production and activates blood clotting. The liver can increase body temperature and induce sweating to help fight off infections. The thymus produces B cells, which make antibodies, and T cells, which are part of the immune response.
The immune system is capable of fighting off intruders and remembering them so that they are killed off quickly if they invade again. The immune system must be able to differentiate self from non-self in order to know what to attack. If it does not recognize the body's own tissue than autoimmune diseases occurs.
Support your immune system by:
- Maintaining a positive attitude.
- Eating a variety of natural, fresh, good quality foods.
- Avoiding refined, processed and packaged foods.
- Always replenishing friendly bacteria after antibiotic use.
- Exercising regularly.
- Avoiding sugar and other junk foods.
- Using stress reducing techniques such as deep breathing.
- Maintaining a regular sleep cycle.
