The Formula:
Soy Lecithin Powder
Greens contains a special oil free powdered lecithin from non-GMO soybeans containing 97% phosphatides. Each serving contains 615 mg of phosphatidyl choline, a powerful fat emulsifying compound that is present in every cell in the body. Phosphatidyl choline solubilizes fats and cholesterol in the blood stream, solubilizes dietary fats in the intestinal mucosa and maintains structural integrity of cell membranes. Phosphatidyl choline is a source of choline, a B-complex factor with powerful lipotropic activity that plays a vital role in brain neurotransmission. Lecithin also provides linoleic acid, an omega-6 essential fatty acid which is the precursor to the series l prostaglandins, hormone like substances that regulate hormone, protein, bone, fatty acid, amino acid, glycogen, nerve and energy metabolism.
Hawaiian Spirulina
Hawaiian spirulina is the most famous of the blue-green algae for good reason. It is one of the most nutritious foods known, containing up to 65% highly digestible protein. It is one of the highest food sources of vitamin B12, contains up to 10 times more beta carotene per gram than carrots, and along with Kamut, alfalfa and barley juice, is one of the richest sources of chlorophyll. Spirulina is one of the few natural foods to contain the omega-6 fatty acid, gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), the precursor to the series 1 prostaglandins. Spirulina is also the only food to contain phycocyanin, the natural blue pigment. Spirulina is a rich source of B complex vitamins, minerals, enzymes, RNA and DNA.
Apple Pectin Apple Fiber
Apple fibre is a rich source of pectin, a gel forming polysaccharide with strong antibacterial and fungicidal properties which has been shown to lower cholesterol levels in humans. Pectin controls the motility and absorption of nutrients from the gut by forming a gel around the food particles, increasing the viscosity of the stomach contents and creating a sensation of 'being full'. Pectin interferes with the action of digestive enzymes and thus slows the rate at which sugar and fat enters the blood stream, eventually increasing the amount of faecal bulk passing through the large intestine.
Organic Green Kamut Juice Powder
Kamut is an heirloom, non-hybrid ancient grain from the Nile region of Egypt, which has never been crossbred. Kamut contains 29% more protein, 27% more lipids and measures higher in 8 of the 9 minerals found in common wheat, including magnesium (23% higher) and zinc (25% higher). Kamut contains more riboflavin, thiamine and niacin than common wheat, and it is significantly higher in vitamin E and chlorophyll. Brown Rice Germ & Bran
Brown rice germ and bran are excellent sources of gammaoryzanol(esters of ferulic acid), a potent antioxidant within plant cells. Gamma-oryzanol has been found effective in lowering blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Brown rice germ and bran are also excellent sources of both soluble and insoluble dietary fibres. Dietary fibres help to bind bile acids, lower blood cholesterol, increase satiety after eating, increase faecal weight and volume, decrease transit time of food through the colon, and decrease insulin response after a carbohydrate meal. Organic Soy Sprouts
Soybean sprouts possess several naturally occurring isoflavones (phenolic compounds), the principle ones being genistein, daidzein and glycitein. Genistein, a crystalline substance found almost exclusively in soy, is receiving particular scientific interest. Like soy sprouts, barley malt sprouts contain many vitamins, minerals and enzymes which contribute to the health and vitality of the body.
Dairy Free Probiotic Culture
The Friendly Trio consists of L. Acidophilus, B. Bifidum and B. Royal Jelly (6% 10 HDA)
Each 10 gram serving contains 200 mg of premium grade royal jelly concentrate which is equivalent to 600 mg of fresh royal jelly, standardized to contain 6% (12 mg) 10-Hydroxy-2-Decenoic Acid, or 10 HDA, a long chain carboxylic acid of the steroid group. 10 HDA is thought to be the main ingredient responsible for royal jelly's activity. Most other royal jelly concentrates contain only 4 or 5% 10 HDA. Royal jelly is the special highly concentrated food produced by worker honey bees to create and sustain the queen bee, making her 50% larger than the other female worker bees and giving her incredible stamina, ovulation ability and longevity, living 4-5 years longer than worker bees who only live 40 days. Royal jelly is a rich source of complete protein, containing all the essential amino acids, as well as essential fatty acids, minerals and vitamins, particularly pantothenic acid (B-5), and pyridoxine (B-6). Known for its energy enhancing and revitalizing properties, royal jelly is also a natural antibiotic. Research shows that royal jelly stimulates the suprarenal glands and produces a positive reaction on the body's metabolism. Bee Pollen
Every macro and micro-nutrient known to be required by humans has been found in bee pollen. On the average, pollen contains 60% carbohydrates, 20% protein, 7% fat, 7% moisture and 6% minerals. Pollen is rich in B complex vitamins, especially vitamin B12 and pantothenic acid. Pollen is also rich in rutin, a glycoside that increases the resistance of the capillary walls to infectious poisons. Pollen also contains many enzymes and coenzymes, antioxidants, bioflavonoids and carotenoids including alpha and beta-carotene. Research has shown bee pollen to be beneficial in hayfever, respiratory and allergic reactions. Many athletes use pollen to increase endurance.
Acerola Berry Juice Powder
