ECHINAMIDE Quick-Blast
Features and Benefits
The immune-stimulating power of Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea) is well documented in both traditional medicine and the scientific community. Natural Factors ECHINAMIDE Quick-Blast combines eucalyptus, peppermint, menthol, and lemon in a base of ECHINAMIDE and honey. Quick-Blast brings soothing relief to sore throats and clears sinus congestion. It shortens the duration of upper respiratory tract infections such as the common cold while also relieving the symptoms.
ECHINAMIDE is made from hand-picked fresh organic Echinacea purpurea flowers, leaves, stems and roots, grown on Natural Factors farms in Canada’s Okanagan region. A patented extraction method guarantees the bioavailability of the three key plant actives in Echinacea purpurea: alkylamides, cichoric acid, and polysaccharides. These compounds are the foundation of ECHINAMIDE’s effectiveness, and the whole herb base ensures no minor actives are missing from the formula. In clinical trials ECHINAMIDE has been proven to be an effective immune stimulant that combats upper respiratory tract infections.
ECHINAMIDE Quick-Blast provides an instant burst of relief from sinus congestion and throat irritation, as well as supporting your immune system. When the cold or flu bug strikes, trust the ECHINAMIDE line of products to help you recover faster – and naturally!
How it Works
When faced with harmful pathogens, the immune system responds in two ways. The non-specific immune system is the first line of defence, and mounts a general but effective response. One of the ways in which key components in ECHINAMIDE boost this immune response is by raising the population of white blood cells known as macrophages and by increasing their ability to consume pathogens. These components also increase the secretion of interferon, tumour necrosis factor, and interleukin-1, all powerful factors in non-specific immunity.
The second immune response, specific immunity, relies on antibodies to recognize familiar bugs, which cue targeted responses designed to fight a particular pathogen. ECHINAMIDE enhances specific immunity by boosting these responses, meaning that the body has more of the tools it needs to fight infections.
ECHINAMIDE Quick-Blast contains complementary herbs designed to quell symptoms and kill pathogens. Cineole, the active ingredient in eucalyptus, acts as an antibacterial in the respiratory tract, and stimulates the phagocytic ability of white blood cells. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic to numb pain and reduce swelling in sore throats. Peppermint oil and menthol offer soothing, cooling pain relief, and honey coats sore throats. These synergistically combined ingredients provide immediate relief of sore, dry throats associated with infections.
