      <description><![CDATA[It's funny, NN: so, I learned about HIV in highschool but have not thought about its basic biology much...your article of course brought me back to thinking about that. I study CD4+ T cells and regularly, for plating, I make sure that there are A BARE MINIUM 20k T cells per well in 200ul. So, the idea of 500...that's crazy low!! I was looking it up and aparently it is per ml....20k per 200ul is 100k per ml...I know I scale up for the assay since I specifically want to see the CD4 phenotype and I do not think of blood numbers a lot but given how important CD4 cells are as immune messengers, thinking about a very low CD4 count...it sounds really bad! Thank you for this HIV refresher: it was interesting for me to wrap my mind around the topic again!]]></description>
