Hello Kaveh,
Indeed, overconsumption of plastic is difficult to avoid considering how much it is used. But finding alternatives, using natural beauty products that are plastic free, and following some of these tips are a great way to reduce plastic toxicity. You can also look into detoxification through natural supplements and whole foods, here: https://www.nationalnutrition.ca/articles/health-concerns/detox-101/

This is a serious problem in our society. Microplastics in the ocean fish from all the plastic bottles that get dumped overboard by large ships. The great pacific garbage patch is so big now a lot of it from plastic bottles that have begun to break down in the salt water and sunlight creating serious problem. Then we eat these plastics and have health issues and we end up here to fix those issues. I avoid ocean fish and only eat wild salmon from Alaska if I can find it, which is rare.

I learned quite a bit about plastic as the eco rep and environmental chair of my dorm at MIT back in undergrad: all plastic numbers are different, specific polymers and the polymer type determines the properties of the plastic. Some plastics like 4, 5, and 2 are generally good to go and food-safe but others and materials such as BPA and sneaky derrivatives have largely unstudied putative harmful effects on health. So, it is great that awareness of this is increasing and, NN, I thank you for spreading awareness and sharing tips for plastic exposure reduction!!
