      <description><![CDATA[This is some great info! Thanks for sharing this insightful post... a reminder to start making smoothies again soon! :)

I've been adding a spoonful of maca root powder to my coffee every morning-- but have never thought about adding it to smoothies, until now! I'll have to try some of these out :) 

(As a fan of all things chocolate-- especially dark chocolate-- I'm especially intrigued by the idea of adding cacao nibs to a smoothie! Chocolate, banana, and oat milk... yum!)]]></description>

As a Phd student and MIT graduate studying the human gut microbiome in health and disease, I can verify that all of these ingredients make awesome health boosts for smoothies! Personally, I would suggest flax seeds over chia seeds, since they are more affordable and their fats more easy to absorb. I would also recommend microalgae oil over fish oil as it is more sustainable. Still, this is an awesome guide and I appreciate you preparing it, NN!]]></description>
