      <description><![CDATA[I used to make mug cakes all the time-every weekend in fact. I stopped because I did not want to keep using bananas given environmental considerations (eg need to import them as well as biodiversity...dates are similar nutritionally and I can get those locally). It is nice to see a mug cake recipe that can be made plant-based (flax egg) that doesn't include banana. I don't think I will be making this one because I usually don't like including apples in the desserts I make myself personally, but this recipe has me inspired to treat myself to a mug cake again; thank you for the inspiration :)]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[I have the unpopular opinion that I usually prefer vanilla flavours over chocolate (not always, but usually!) So this vanilla bean mug cake is so perfect for me and looks so delicious! I personally love making mug cakes when you are in the mood for a sweet treat but do not want to make a whole cake and then deal with the leftovers, because let's face it, I will just end up eating a whole cake in the matter of a few days! A great, and healthier alternative! Thank-you for sharing!]]></description>
