Protein in the morning is most important for maintaining lean muscle mass through aging. So, it is great to have a nourishing, delicious, and protein-rich granola to start the day, especially since granola perfectly pairs with another protein-packed nutrient powerhouse: yogurt! The inclusion of flax is a nice way to sneak in omega 3s and I am especially fond of using coconut oil as opposed to other oils in cooking: the high saturated fat content means even with dry heat cooking, relative to other oils, it is resistant to AGE formation and fat oxidation. It also tastes great! :)

This almond protein granola looks delicious! I love how crunchy granola is and find that it is a great thing to have as a breakfast or as a snack but I struggle to find ways to eat it with more protein incorporated into it so I love how this recipe takes out the extra guess work for you and already has extra protein included into it! Such a great idea and looks delicious too! Thanks for sharing!
