My Mother makes a recipe that is almost identical to this-the only difference between the two is that instead of millet and amaranth, my mother uses oats and buckwheat. Small, small world! The taste and the richness of coconut oil is a key component of what makes this recipe so good and it is definitely a recipe that you want to use whole grain for (because the flavor of the whole grain pairs most wonderfully with the sweetness of the fruit). Thank you for sharing! I'll have to tell my Mum that her recipe has a doppleganger.

Hello Olivia,
Apple crumble is SO delicious, having it for breakfast almost seems wrong, but when it's a recipe that's packed full of nutrients, it's a great way to start the day!

Enjoy!

I love apple crumble and I don't know why I never thought to make an apple crumble breakfast bake before! I am not sure that I ever tried millet before so I am curious about the taste but it is so cool that it has fiber and magnesium and that it is good for your blood sugar as well! I love foods that are good for your blood sugar because they tend to take longer to absorb so you stay full longer!
