This seems to me a better version of applesauce: similar flavors but keeping the apple intact, in my opinion, is far superior to making it into a mush (or, maybe I just have a distaste for applesauce because my Mother always used to force my younger Brother and I to have it with dinner & finish it all before going to bed). I wonder if there are any variations on this recipe that might draw in other flavors; apple and cinnamon is a common combination but I bet that there must be other nice flavor pairings for apple-perhaps vanilla and almond? NN Team, do you have any suggestions for other apple flavor pairings?

I've done this yummy Maple Cinnamon Apple recipe several times now, it's so good on vanilla ice cream or double the recipe for a quick baked apple-style dessert. I haven't tried it with pancakes yet, but I am sure it delish! I've been using red apples for a sweeter taste, and it is perfect for a quick and healthy Fall treat with all the classic tastes of maple, cinnamon and apples that are perfect for cooler months.

Hello,
Indeed, this recipe satisfies the sweet cravings, but is still healthy, like a deconstructed apple crumble. These flavours will keep you warm on a cool autumn day. Enjoy!

This recipe for maple cinnamon apples would be a great side to a warm dish or even as a dessert or as a breakfast! Apples and cinnamon goes so well together and the sweetness of the maple is a great addition. The suggestion to use these as a topping for things like pancakes or waffles or even yogurt is such a great idea and would make the meal so delicious and add more vitamins without much effort! Great idea!
