Such a delightful recipe! You've proved many wrong in that pumpkin can be delightful in summertime recipes too: this is a recipe that fits with any time of the year, and I love that you call it "orange creamsicle!" Another thing that I love about this recipe is that it works in both omega-3s from the flax seed as well as probiotics from the yogurt and a good dose of vitamin C from oranges (which should help fight off winter colds as well as summertime colds resulting from immune system relaxation on break)

Hello,

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, we can't include the macros for this recipe because they will vary depending on the brand of the ingredients each person uses. Because it calls for orange juice and sugar, the nutritional information will vary depending on your product choice. We would suggest looking up your favourite brands for the ingredients and seeing what the nutritional content would be for that specific one in order to get accurate information. We hope that helps.

Stay healthy & well!

Hello, TRS,

Thank you for your comment. Indeed, generally, the fruit is sweet enough, but in this smoothie, the only fruit is oranges and unsweetened orange juice. Paired with the pumpkin puree, there isn't much natural sweetness; therefore, a bit of sugar or natural sugar alternative would make this smoothie more satiable to most people. You can always forgo the sugar if you prefer as well, of course. We hope you're enjoying the other recipes we have and happy cooking!

Have a healthy day.

Hello Nicole,
We're glad you found this recipe. Pumpkin spice is all the rage, but most come with a heavy dose of sugar, using whole food ingredients and natural sweeteners like maple syrup or honey, give this treat a nutritional boost. You could also add a vanilla or unflavoured protein powder to have this after a workout or as a heartier snack.

Have a healthy day!

Okay so I love all things pumpkin spice, and this yummy Orange Pumpkin Creamsicle Smoothis hits the spot. I'm not big on the goat milk yogurt, so I swapped it out for coconut yogurt instead and it is SO GOOD! This is a good recipe for getting your pumpkin spice everything fix without all the bad bits. It was really good with maple syrup to add sweetness, and I'll be trying it with honey next. Pumpkin is so good for you, happy to of found this treat for Fall!

Hello,
You are right! Pumpking season is here and this smoothie packs a healthful punch! Pure pumpkin offers so many health benefits and is the flavour of the fall season. Plus with the orange flavour addition, it still slightly feels reminiscent of Summer.

Enjoy!

As we enter the colder months this recipe for a healthy orange pumpkin creamsicle smoothie is a great way to get your pumpkin fix in a healthy way and in a much cheaper alternative to buying all the pumpkin flavoured items. This is also a nice way to get in the actual nutrients of pumpkins instead of just the flavouring of it, it is easy to make in advance or the night before as well.

What a great idea for a fun fall breakfast or snack! Pumpkin flavours are so in right now but pumpkin also has great health benefits so this recipe is amazing! The creamsicle creamy flavour that comes with the smoothie is amazing you might not even remember that you are drinking something that is healthy for you! Thank you for the recipe and for listing all the health benefits, I love that it shows it for each ingredient. Looks like a tasty idea!
