      <description><![CDATA[I didn't know that curcuma longa was the plant that tumeric comes from-it makes sense now that the active component of tumeric is called "curcumin". I like that you mention black pepper to aid in bioavailability as well as fermentation (which is also excellent for improving the bioavailability as well as the digestability of proteins). I would like to add that fat also improves curcumin's bioavailability-so a tumeric latte with some coconut milk or a good curry has a special nutritional benefit (of course, one still ought to keep daily saturated fat intake below 5-10% of calories for ideal health)]]></description>
