Magnesium bisglycinate is the form of magnesium supplement I take. It has little side effects. I take it on an empty stomach. Calcium and lysine goes well with magnesium alongside vitamin c and bioflavinoids. I take this without food right before bedtime without issues. I like this form of biglycinate as it is a chelate of magnesium and glycine. Highly absorbed. It helps to combat stress and anxiety. It's good for sleep. It has calming properties. Magnesium is good for muscle pain and relaxation. Without enough magnesium, my muscles don't relax properly. Magnesium biglycinate can make me feel more relaxed and calm.

Hello Rachel,
We're happy you enjoyed learning about the potential side effects of magnesium supplements. It's crucial to have a well-rounded understanding of the potential side effects and interactions of any supplement or nutrient, including magnesium. Responsible medicine emphasizes empowering patients to make informed decisions about their health based on available evidence, research, and guidance. This approach encourages natural healing processes while promoting education. It's great to see that you appreciate this approach. Often times you can find calcium and magnesium together, if you'd like to learn more about calcium, read through this article https://www.nationalnutrition.ca/articles/supplements/calcium/

Wow! I never realized all the side effects to magnesium. This is one reason why I feel temporarily using a tracker such as cronometer (nonsponsored) to get an idea of macronutrient, micronutrient, and mineral intake is a great idea: even healthy components of the diet or contributers to overall nutrition can have adverse effects when out of balance or in too high of a dose. I appreciate your approach to responsible medicine-letting the patient heal naturally, learn, and decide themselves what the best course of action is based on available evidence, research, and guidence
