Magnesium bisglycinate is the form I take to avoid a deficiency. I don't think I ever had one. But I did used to get leg cramps a lot, never anymore. Now I know what it was, a reminder to take magnesium. There are no side effects. Calcium and lysine goes well with magnesium alongside vitamin c and bioflavinoids. I take this without food at bedtime. No issues. Instead of deficiency, I can combat stress and anxiety. It's good for sleep. It has calming properties. Magnesium is the best, after Vitamin D (which is the most important).

Thank you for all the solid points. I especially appreciate the following:
-That you broke down ODA vs RDA
-That you include the generally preferred form of mg supplement and that you explain the reason why this form is the preferred form
-That you outline key situations in which a person may be likely to experience low mg levels
-That you list some healthy, plant-based foods which are rih in magnesium
-That you outline key biological uses of magnesium
Overall, lots of great points!!
