      <description><![CDATA[I had heard of magnolia before and seen the flowers. I also had some idea of its symbolism from the movie "Steel Magnolias." But, I had never read more about the plant or thought about potential herbal benefits of its components. For instance, I did not know that the bark of the magnolia, as opposed to the flower, was the most commonly used portion. And, being interested in dental health, I find it very cool that extract from the magnolia tree bark (MBE) can inhibit bacteria that are responsible for periodontitis and dental cavities]]></description>
