Hello Rachel,
Indeed, there are many misconceptions about soy, it's gotten a bad rap. Thank you for sharing some of the misconceptions you've heard and how our article helped you get a better understanding of soy and its many health attributes. You can learn about a key component of soy, isoflavones, here: https://www.nationalnutrition.ca/articles/supplements/isoflavones/

Soy is amazing! It is unfortunate that there are many misconceptions about soy such as that it can cause gynocomastia, will feminize men, and will contribute to cancer. As you explain, soy is healthy-so healthy in fact that the extract of soy is a health supplement on its own! Soya extract is amazing in that it can reduce bad cholesterol, help balance hormones, and even contribute to osteoporosis prevention. I hope that soy comes back in vogue and thank you for helping to dispel the myths!
