Thank you for your beautiful description of Brazil nut trees. I have not done this for awhile, imagine the origins of a food, the plant itself, while I enjoy the food. I eat a variety of sustainable, delicious plant-based foods and I will make it a point to search up the origins for favorite ingredients to do this more. Thank you! Anyway, I did not know that Brazil nut trees can live 500 to 1000 years and that Brazil nuts only grow well in untouched, pristine Amazon forests AND produce complex, coiled flowers which can only be pollinated by a particular species of bee which requires a specific orchid: that's remarkable!
