I vaguely remember hearing about Caralluma Fimbriata from Dr. Oz. I think it is cool that this herb has a long history of use by tribal Indians to suppress appetite and enhance endurance on long hunts and can be used as a more easily available version of Hoodia. The putative mechanism is cool, too: with the active pregnane glycoside component, being believed to act on the hypothalamus in the brain to suppress appetite. It will be interesting to get finer grained detail on the mechanism of Caralluma Fimbriata as the research emerges!
