oolong tea is a delightful brew. I did not know that oolong was one of the teas that in the West has been associated with weight loss and I wonder how many of the health claims (eg increased mental alertness, balancing of blood sugar levels, reduction of blood pressure, preention of tooth decay and osteoporosis, benefits for skin conditions such as eczema, etc) are substantiated by good quality research and how oolong compares in these health effects to other more (eg black tea) or less (eg green and white teas) fermented teas. Anyway, this was a good read and I appreciate that you also go into mechanism of action for oolong tea a bit!
