Hello Rachel,
We're glad you learned something new about walnuts by reading our article. Walnuts have many great properties for good health and are a great addition to those following a plant based diet. You can learn more about prostate health through this article, https://www.nationalnutrition.ca/articles/health-concerns/prostate-health/

I didn't know that walnuts have a potential role in promoting the health of the prostrate-I wonder what the mechanism was for reducing growth of unhealthy cells. I was also curious if walnuts could have a benefit in the context of breast health but then I saw that you list breast health in the applications so I'll have to go and read the research!
Another note is that I really appreciate you mentioning that walnuts, in addition to being a healthy source of omega 3 fatty acids, are a vegetarian protein: nuts actually contain a nice amount of healthy protein which often goes unappreciated

Hello, Marni,

Indeed, walnuts are great for brain health. Much like walnuts, most nuts support the part of the body they look like. You can find some health recipes that incorporate walnuts in our recipe section: https://www.nationalnutrition.ca/articles/healthy-recipes/

My grandmother always said walnuts were brain food. They even look like a brain! I try to eat 2 or 3 a day. They're great for the skin and the brain and taste great too.
