Hello Rachel,

Indeed, nutrient soil depletion is a rising concern. You are correct that calcium from coral can be a great source of trace minerals. Coral calcium is derived from fossilized coral reefs and contains various essential minerals.

Regarding your question about limestone, while it does contain calcium, it may not be as rich in trace minerals compared to coral calcium. However, limestone can still contribute to the overall mineral content of the soil.

Seaweeds are indeed nutrient powerhouses and are known for their high concentration of trace minerals. They are often compared to dark leafy greens on land in terms of their nutritional value. Incorporating seaweeds into your diet can provide a natural source of these essential minerals.

Celtic salt is also another great source of trace minerals, you can discover more information in this article, https://www.nationalnutrition.ca/articles/research/unravelling-the-benefits-of-celtic-salt/

Have a healthy day

Trace minerals matter! Even certain bacteria struggle to grow without these important minerals. It is sad how farms’ soil is depleted after years of farming without allowing fields to lay fallow and replenish themselves. I did not know that calcium from coral is a great source of trace minerals. This makes me very glad that I have used coral calcium before. Is calcium from limestone also a good source of trace minerals? Also, it is awesome that seaweeds are rich in trace minerals-like dark leafy greens of the land, seaweeds are true nutrient powerhouses and among the healthiest things for the human body. Thanks for this great article; I learned a lot!
