Ingredients:

1 cup mineral water½ cup cranberry juice, unsweetened 1 tablespoon honey
½ grapefruit, peeled and quartered ½ cup ice cubes½ teaspoon fresh ginger, grated + extra

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine grapefruit, cranberry juice, ice, honey and ginger. Blend until smooth – mixture will be a bit frothy.
  2. Grabbing two glasses, pour grapefruit mixture into them.
  3. Top with mineral water and sprinkle some grated ginger on top. Serve.

Make It This Way

Make this drink with sparkling water instead to help curb your cravings from sugary, carbonated drinks. If grapefruits aren’t in season or you’re having a hard time finding them at the store – try swapping it out for another citrus instead such as, oranges, lemons or limes.

Try This

This drink can easily be spruced up and served at brunch, or a cocktail party. Simply freeze whole cranberries and use them as ice cubes, and add a sprig of rosemary – it will compliment the drink nicely, and adds a holiday flare to it.

    Yum!!

Yum! Grapefruits are such a great source of vitamin C but they can be very sour so adding them to a refreshing drink like this one with honey is such a great idea! I know that grapefruits cannot be consumed if you are on certain medications which is wild but if you are able to eat them then this is a great way to do it! It looks like it would be the perfect mix of sweet and sour! Yum! Thank for sharing :D
