Hello Rachel,
These recipes are perfect for him! We're glad you can share them with your father to help him stay healthy. However here are some healthier salt alternatives if your father ever does want to season other dishes: https://www.nationalnutrition.ca/articles/research/himalayan-salt-vs-sea-salt-discover-the-differences/

My Father is watching his chloresterol and so recipes which are naturally flavorful without a need for added salt or large amounts of saturated fat are great. It is awesome to find a butternut squash soup that is not rich in cream or coconutmilk/oil (just a tablespoon is a moderate/balanced amount). Also, my Father loves butternut squash and chicken is a staple for him. I think that these flavors would synergize well with eachother, and be especially enjoyable for someone who already enjoys both of them on their own! :)

Hello Olivia,

Thank you for sharing. Indeed, soups, stews and casserole dishes are excellent recipes to be able to add extra vegetables or nutrient-packed ingredients. Butternut Squash soups are delicious! You may also enjoy this dairy-free naan bread recipe with it:

I love soup and I especially love thicker soups and ones that have butternut squash in them are always so delicious. I love anything with herbs in it too and this soup seems like a great way to get in extra vegetables and vitamins in a delicious soup! I love how with soups you can sneak in extra ingredients for sources of good vitamins/minerals/proteins and depending on what you choose it won't alter the taste much (I love adding extra celery or carrots, etc. to mine!) great recipe idea thanks for sharing!
