Hummus is typically chickpea and tahini. But I find the deconstructed versions all the more palatable. So, I very much like this recipe that uses whole seasame, chickpeas, seasame oil and flavorful, creamy tahini: it's seasame in many forms and, yes, the building blocks of humus. I bet that with no or less vinegar this would make a wonderful dip/sauce. There is a similar recipe I saw recently on YouTube...I will have to give one of these recipes a try! <3 Thank you for another great recipe idea, NN Team :D

Hello O,
Happy you're excited about our recipe! This is a great salad dressing both in taste and nutritional profile. It indeed adds extra protein to your salad and is a lighter alternative to many mayo or cream based dressings. You can add many other flavours to it as well such as dill, olives, garlic and more! We hope you enjoy creating different variations of this dressing and let us know your favourite. You can enjoy this dressing on this coleslaw recipe as well: https://www.nationalnutrition.ca/articles/healthy-recipes/summer-fresh-lemon-coleslaw/

This idea of making a salad dressing from a smooth and creamy hummus is so smart! The chickpeas will add extra protein to your salad without it adding extra volume since it will be in a liquid form and I love hummus so this is such a great option too! The lemon adds a nice and fresh taste to the salad as well so this is such a lovely idea and addition to salads, yum.
