Acai is an anti oxidant I take with other berries in a smoothie. Moringa goes well with this. I have both the tea and the capsules. I sometimes add the Moringa powder into the Acai smoothie. Goji also goes well here. Blueberries as well. This Acai berry is good for anti aging. It goes well with Vitamin C, I add lemons in there. In order to get the Vitamin E, I add nuts and seeds, also goes well with Acai and other berries. Brazil nuts will give you the Selenium you need (only 2 is enough).

I have never heard the flavor of acai described before but I think that you almost got it: "blackberry with a tinge of blueberry" indeed hits on the key fruity notes. And, I would be in the mix of some people that say it also has an aftertaste of chocolate. I would, though, also note that there is an almost acrid bitterness to it, distinct from the bitter of chocolate: it is a fruity bitterness, and, yes, it is as equally unpleasant as it is oddly refreshing. I think it is the bitter aspect, too, that often prevents acai from being a favorite flavor for fruit drinks/smoothies/other fruit preparations.

Hello, Rachel,
Acai is an amazing superfood with many benefits as this article outlines. It is great when added to smoothies, or you can make a smoothie bowl by adding less liquid to your smoothie recipe to make it a thicker consistency. You can also add it to our vegan, natural fruit roll up recipe where it suggests adding protein powder:

The chart provided is great for thinking about practically using acai!: I like that this chart includes known synergies, optimal dosage, important considerations, and a link to products you sell which contain acai. Also, I appreciate you dispelling the hype around certain acai benefits. That said, recipes would have been appreciated because these would be helpful in thinking about how to incorporate acai into one's daily lifestyle-all I can think of for acai is smoothies; I would love to learn about various non-smoothie acai recipes to work this "superfood" into the diet!
