      <description><![CDATA[Kelp is oh so amazing but oh so underrated! Thank you for this great article fot it. You also taught me about something to love about kelp that I had not previously known about: alginate! It's cool that aginate can be used as a thickener in numerous products such as jellies, desserts, toothpaste and even dog food (!!!). This is pretty wild and I wonder if I could use it in at-home recipes. It is neat that alginate can act as a weight loss aid as well (though this particular feature is not impotant to me because, if anything, I struggle with gaining, not losing weight)]]></description>
