The proverbial saying “You are what you eat” came to us from French lawyer Anthelme Brillat-Savarin in 1826, who, in his book: Physiologie du Goût, ou Meditations de Gastronomie Transcendante, wrote: "Dis-moi ce que tu manges, je te dirai ce que tu es." For optimal results, digestive enzymes should be taken about 10 minutes before a meal or with the first bite.
