What Is Curcumin (Turmeric)?
Turmeric (Curcuma longa), is a member of the ginger family that has long been used as a culinary spice. Curcumin, is the primary active component in turmeric, with very well-documented natural anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidant properties which help ward off free radicals.

Final Thoughts
As effective an anti-inflammatory as curcumin is, it is unfortunately poorly absorbed, is quickly metabolized, and is rapidly eliminated. As such, it's crucial to pay attention to the label when selecting your formula.
