Thieves Oil

The origins of Thieves Oil are colourful. Indeed, thieves oil dates back to the Bubonic Plague (or Black Death) in 1413, which devastated much of France. Black Death was an extremely severe and extraordinarily infectious disease with a very high fatality rate.

During this time, four thieves were apprehended for stealing from the sick and dying. Surprisingly, these thieves never contracted the plague; despite being near infected people. The judge was so intrigued by how these men had resisted the disease that he decided to spare them execution in exchange for their immunity secret. 

Their very secret is known today as Thieves Oil. This oil is made of a blend of several essential oils that work synergistically to offer potent antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-infectious properties.

Thieves oil typically features a blend of:

• Cinnamon – Made from the bark, leaves, or twigs of various species of cinnamon trees
• Clove – Made from the undeveloped buds of the flowers found on the Eugenia caryophyllata species of the clove tree
