Boiron has been proud to help Canadians support their health through homoeopathy for over thirty-five years.
Company History
The idea of Boiron started in 1932 when Jean and Henri Boiron began at the Central Homeopathic Laboratory of France with René Baudry.
Boiron Laboratories officially began in 1967, and two years later they launched their first production plant in Lyon. By 1979, they opened their first subsidiary in Italy, and in 1988, they merged with Les Laboratoires Homeopathiques de France. Fast forward to more recent years, they celebrated their 90th anniversary.
Rigorous Quality Control
Boiron works hard to ensure the quality and integrity of its products. They control the entire manufacturing process to confirm reliability and establish that they meet the regulatory requirements of health authorities.
All raw materials are sourced from trusted partners, and seventy per cent of their plant strains come from Europe. These plants are naturally GMO-free, harvested in a biodiverse way, and follow good harvesting practices defined by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Most of their homeopathic medicines are manufactured in their own facilities in France. Their manufacturing process is highly supervised and all raw materials are put through many tests, and regular audits are conducted on their Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified facilities.
Boiron integrates research and innovation in partnership with recognized research centres to bring a mix of science and traditional homeopathy to their products. All research is organized around a global approach. To ensure nothing falls through the cracks, Boiron has 145 pharmacists working in their analysis laboratories.
Boiron has even patented a triple impregnation process that guarantees a homogenous impregnation of the active ingredient to the heart of the granule. Triple impregnation is standardized to ensure the quality of the following stages: micro-spraying, homogenization, and drying.
