Warning: Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking medications which inhibit peristaltic movement (e.g. opioids), if you are experiencing a sudden change in bowel habits that have persisted for more than 2 weeks, are experiencing undiagnosed rectal bleeding, or have failure to defecate following the use of a laxative product. Consult a health care practitioner if constipation persists after one week of use, if you have symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever (as these could be signs of abnormal constrictions of the GI tract, diseases of the oesophagus and/or the superior opening of the stomach (Cardia), potential or existing intestinal blockage, paralysis of the intestine, megacolon, faecal impaction, inflamed bowel or appendicitis), if you experience chest pain, or di culty in swallowing or breathing after taking this product. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen. Hypersensitivity has been known to occur in rare cases, in which case, discontinue use.
People do not get enough fiber because they are not aware of it. The average Canadian gets 12 to 15 grams of fiber a day. That is horrible. We need between minimum 25 to 35 grams of fiber in our diet every day. Here is one of the big problems: People believe that if they have a colon elimination every day that they get enough fiber. Most fiber is purchased for constipation, but fiber does many things in our body that are much more beneficial to us than just helping with constipation. The average person isn't getting anywhere near enough fibre because we don't eat enough roughage, fruits and vegetables. To get 25 to 35 grams of fibre in our diet every day, you must supplement.
What can be supplemented to increase fibre?
A fibre supplement called FibreSMART. It's a combination of flax fibre, acacia fibre and guar gum. It is a combination of insoluble and soluble fibres just like you find in nature. In an apple, for example, the peeling is insoluble while the inside of the apple is soluble. It is a well-rounded fibre that is very gentle on your system and works very well.
Is it hypoallergenic?
It is very hypoallergenic. Women love it because they don't get the gas and bloating. Many people that start to increase fibre by supplementation in their diet every day will sometimes see gas and bloating, which they don't like that. They feel very uncomfortable with it. With the FibreSMART- the fibre being flax, acacia and guar gum- it's very, very gentle on the system.
Why is Psyllium not in it?
Psyllium creates so much gas and bloating that many people know that they can’t take psyllium. If you had something like maybe diarrhea or a very fast metabolism, psyllium may be okay for you, but for most people, the flax, acacia and guar gum works much better than psyllium.
What are the benefits?
There are so many benefits of taking it. We think of fibre as only bulking to help us in constipation, but fibre is the food that our beneficial, good bacteria that we call probiotics utilize. What it does is that it helps these probiotics, the Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria multiply, and that's very good for our immunity. Fibre is also really good at keeping us satisfied with our appetite. Most people don't know that fibre is an appetite suppressant, so it's very good if you are trying to lose weight to take a scoop of that fibre and a glass of water before each and every meal.
What other supplements can be taken with it?
It can be taken with any Renew Life product. Anything from a detox, a probiotic, Omega-3 oil, or digestive enzymes can be combined with it.
