While Routine is a relatively new brand, they have wasted no time in expanding its product line and taking the natural body care industry by storm.
Routine: Canadian Roots & Sustainable Brand Values
Routine was founded in 2011 by two sisters, Neige and Pippa, on the belief that your scent is like your fingerprint. Since then, the Canadian brand set out to formulate natural body care products that smell incredible.
While Routine values your health, they also value the health of the planet. These are some of the environmentally friendly practices they follow:
- Products are made locally
- Ingredients are sourced locally when possible
- They use sustainable packaging: all boxes are created in B.C. out of FSC-certified paper, and deodorant sticks are made out of cardboard, with a twist component made of 100% post-consumer recycled plastic
- Their jars and bottles are refillable: to date, over 100,000 deodorant jars have been refilled, and many stockists support their bottle refill program
- Most packaging is made locally to cut pollution from having them shipped.
- The armpit tool is made of pure copper
- Empty/used bottles can be sent back or dropped off for recycling. Routine partners with TerraCycle and Pact Collective for this
- Shipping materials are made from recycled paper, their packaging peanuts dissolve in water, and the tissue paper is made from FSC-certified paper, is completely recyclable and uses soy-based ink
