Start with a teaspoon mixed in liquid, once a day. Slowly increase to twice a day and then slowly increase the amount taken, up to a tablespoon and up to three times a day. For every amount taken in liquid, follow by drinking an equal amount of water.

The typical food grade diatomaceous earth dosage for general health is roughly one or two heaping teaspoons a day (usually in the morning) in any beverage. Some report increased energy levels, so morning may be the best time to use.
Taking DE Internally For Humans:
Start at ½ teaspoon each day for 1 week. Every week thereafter please increase the dose by ½ teaspoon. You will gradually increase the dose like this until you get to 1 tablespoon. Take that 1 tablespoon for 1 week and then call it quits for 2 weeks. Then start again at the bottom dose and work your way up again. So it would look like this:
Week 1: ½ teaspoon
Week 2: 1 teaspoon
Week 3: 1 ½ teaspoon
Week 4: 2 teaspoon
Week 5: 2 ½ teaspoon
Week 6: 1 tablespoon
Does not matter what time of the day or whether with or without food. Taking DE in the morning gives the benefits of silica throughout the day.
Mix with water, soda or juice.
Silica does not dissolve; stir several times while drinking to prevent settling.
