The Soap Works is a proud Canadian company that’s been family-run and operated for over 30 years.
The Soap Works Brand History
The Soap Works was established in 1982 by two brothers in Woodbridge, ON. They were tired of the lack of natural and healthy options for soap and body care, so they created a brand that uses all-natural, biodegradable ingredients that are gentle on the skin.
Three generations later, The Soap Works has been operating for over 30 years and is still just as passionate about creating natural soaps as they were on day one.
The Soap Works cares for your skin, but also values the environment and supports its community. Their commitment to the environment starts with their soap formulation. Their soaps degrade into the ecosystem, and they only use RSPO Certified Sustainable Palm Oil. To further support the environment, they don’t use packaging on their bar soaps, and they print their barcodes on recyclable paper with vegetable-based ink.
Ingredient Quality
Since The Soap Works began by wanting to provide consumers with healthier soap options, they know the importance of using high-quality ingredients. For each soap, they select natural ingredients that support that specific skincare need. They use a mill and hot and cold processes to saponify the ingredients. They carefully adjust their methods to preserve the soap's benefits and ensure the final product doesn’t cause irritation and feels good on your skin.
Furthermore, The Soap Works ingredients are fully biodegradable and don’t test on animals, so you can feel good about using their products. The colours and fragrances in their products are all-natural and typically come from minerals, essential oils and essences and are always listed in their ingredients.
Most of their products are gluten, and casein-free with the exception of the Goat Milk and Oatmeal Complexion bar. All of The Soap Works products are manufactured in Woodbridge, ON, giving them control of the whole manufacturing process, ensuring customers are getting the best product for their health and skin’s needs.
