RIPT INGREDIENTS SCIENCE
RIPT TEA3 COMPLEX While all bearing the same latin species name of Camelia sinensis, RIPT contains 3 different forms of teas that are harvested and prepared differently to provide each with a unique polyphenol content. RIPT features Organic Matcha Green Tea, which is fresh stone-ground whole tea leaf, providing the full natural unaltered spectrum of antioxidants found in green tea. Coupled with Matcha, are two potent tea leaf extracts which are specifically concentrated for their polyphenol and fat fighting epigallocatechin-3-gallate or EGCG content. EGCG is the most abundant polyphenol found in Green and White Tea (Young Green Tea), several studies have examined the unique ability of this compound to not only help elevate the body's fat burning metabolism, but can also prevent the absorption of dietary fat. RIPT ENERGY3 COMPLEX RIPT features a trio of complementary energy ingredients, that provide a sustained and no-crash energy experience. Caffeine is a potent central nervous system stimulant that triggers fat cells to break down and release fat by increasing output of epinephrine. Caffeine also supports increased metabolic rate and promotes athletic performance and appetite control. Combined with caffeine are two other 'tea-derived' compounds: L-Theanine and TeaCrine® (Theacrine). L-Theanine is an uncommon amino acid that has a non-drowsy 'relaxation' effect. When combined with caffeine it helps to take the 'edge' off any sharp stimulant sensation and helps promote enhanced cognition and attentiveness. TeaCrine® is a nature-identical version of the compound Theacrine, which is found in Kucha tea. It works with the body's natural metabolic processes to deliver longer lasting energy, increase mental clarity and improve mood and motivation. RIPT THERMAL3 COMPLEX The RIPT Thermal Complex is comprised of 3 different natural thermogenic ingredients:
- The first is a novel patented next-generation combination of ingredients called KINETIQ. KINETIQ combines the natural p-synephrine source Citrus aurantium with two potent bioflavonoids Hesperidin and Naringin, which are found naturally in citrus fruits. The combination results in 4-times effect over Citrus aurantium alone, elevating caloric consumption during rest and also enhancing exercise performance. KINETIQ has been paired with two natural thermogenic agents: Melegeuetta pepper seed extract and Evodia fruit extract.
- Clinical trials exploring the weight loss benefits of Meleguetta seeds found that they can significantly increase energy expenditure and loss of brown adipose (fat) tissue. One of the key ingredients involved in the thermogenic response is 6-paradol, a pungent aromatic ketone also found in ginger.
- Evodia fruit is a natural source of the capsaicin-like alkaloid evodiamine, which acts as a vanilloid receptor agonist. Like capsaicin, evodiamine increases body heat production and raises resting core temperature, increasing the calories and fat that are burned for energy. The stimulant and appetite suppressant effects of evodiamine can be attributed to its effects on catecholamine levels. Evodiamine increases the release of catecholamines such as adrenaline and dopamine from the adrenal glands, increasing energy levels and decreasing appetite.
