Unpleasant Burn and Texture, But Does the Job

As an adult who prefers the more bio-compatible remineralizing ingredient nano-hydroxyapatite but WILL use fluoride in a pinch, I only tried this paste out because I was running out of my fave nHAP paste while seeking an alternative long-term vendor (instead of Amazon).

This gel has a strangely sticky texture that does dilute and rinse clean of course, but makes the bristles of my brushes stick together and harden while in contact with them. The taste is pleasantly spearmint-y but it's also somewhat spicy for me. Something in there causes a light burn like I've eaten a hot pepper or something. Doesn't hurt or cause any lasting irritation, but it's a bit too bracing for nighttime when you want to stay sleepy. I know some other pastes are like this and I wish they put a warning for it on their packaging. (They can make it a selling point for the people who do want that, assuming there are any.)

This gel seems to do the job otherwise (and the actual flavour is fine), but only use this if you're okay with mild burning and the experience of having your toothbrush temporarily hardened wherever it makes contact.
