Even more interestingly, some studies have shown that pure stevia extract can decrease post-meal blood sugar in those with type 2 diabetes.

So, it’s important to pay attention to the label when you’re selecting your stevia extract to ensure the product you’re considering does not contain dextrose or maltodextrin because these fillers contain carbs and calories and will negatively impact your glycemia or weight loss efforts.
