As a democratically run organization, Camino, through its parent co-op, La Siembra, became the first registered importer of Fairtrade-certified cocoa in North America, paving the way for fair-trade standards across the industry. Today, Camino sources ingredients from 25 producer co-ops across 14 countries in the Global South, building long-term partnerships rooted in democracy, participation, and economic justice.
