How To Use

Use once or twice a week. After cleansing apply firming mask generously to the face, neck and decollete; also include the skin around the eyes. After leaving it work for about 20 minutes, remove afterwards with a warm damp cloth.

Rosa Damascena Flower Water (Rose Distillate)
Also known as 'rose hydrosol' or 'rose distillate', it is derived from the condensed steam produced during distillation of rose essential oil. The oily component is the essential oil and the watery portion is the rose distillate. Rose distillate is rich in water-soluble compounds beneficial for skin, particularly for soothing sensitive skin as it harmonizes and balances skin functions.

Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil
The rich, emollient oil obtained from the pulp of the avocado by cold-pressing has a slightly green hue and contains many essential fatty acids and vitamins. It supports the moisture balance of the skin and prevents it from drying out and also strengthens the epidermis.

Althaea Officinalis (Marsh Mallow) Root Extract
Rich in mucilage, a humectant plant carbohydrate able to attract and hold water, marsh mallow extract hydrates and stimulates the moisture balance within the skin. Mucilaginous plants like marsh mallow are non-oily emollients (skin softeners) that promote healing of wounds, skin irritations and burns. Marsh mallow softens dry skin and promotes flexibility and resilience of connective tissues.

Beeswax/Cera Alba
"White wax" is produced by honey bees and comes from hives maintained using ecological beekeeping practices. The wax is humanely obtained and then bleached. It serves as an emulsifier and consistency regulator. Beeswax has an open structure that provides a breathable barrier against the elements.

Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil
Cold-pressed from the edible nut kernels (fruit) of the almond tree, sweet almond oil is an excellent skin-softening (emollient) oil historically used for centuries in skin care. It is mild, lightweight and easily absorbed into the skin as well as rich in unsaturated fats and essential fatty acids, such as linoleic acid. It has a calming and soothing effect especially against dry, itchy skin and improves the skin's barrier function.

Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil
A very stable, oil-like liquid wax, derived from the fruit (seeds) of jojoba, a shrub native to American desert regions. Jojoba oil is highly valued in cosmetics for its moisturizing and emollient (skin softening) effects.

Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter
Skin-nurturing mango butter is obtained from the kernels of the mango fruit. It is a heavy, edible plant butter similar to cocoa butter and contains natural Tocopherol (Vitamin E). It is a relatively occlusive fatty butter which means that it stays on the skin as a barrier, protecting the skin from drying out. In addition it helps the consistency and stabilization of creamy emulsions.

Fragrance/Parfum (Essential Oil)
This term denotes that the product contains a combination of 100% pure, natural essential oils. Dr.Hauschka fragrances are proprietary blends of pure essential oils specifically developed for each product. European regulations require that we list our pure essential oil scents as "Fragrance (Parfum)". No synthetic fragrance or perfume ingredients are ever used to scent Dr. Hauschka products.

Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract
Chondrus crispus (carrageen) is a natural thickening agent which is obtained from purified red algae. It gives creams their smooth, even consistency.
Lithospermum Officinale (Stoneseed) Root Extract
A root extract of European stoneseed or gromwell, a plant common in Chinese medicine used for its soothing and skin-nurturing properties. It protects the skin and has anti-inflammatory action.
