Bad Aftertaste

I take this at the first sign of a cold or flu and it does stop the bug. It's great that you only need to take 4 drops. The only thing with brand is I get a bad aftertaste if I don't take it with a meal. Other wise, it does work well.

Part of My Cold and Flu Buster

At the first sign of a cold or flu I take this, elderberry juice , liposomal vitamin c and goldenseal. If I catch it early enough and take these remedies for a couple of days, sometimes I won't get sick at all. If I do get sick, I continue with this stuff and usually recover quickly and the illness is not severe.

Oil of oregano used to be the only thing I used and it will not usually save me on its own but seems to work synergistically with the other remedies.

So it's not cheap but for me, it's way better than getting sick or having one of those viruses that lingers for a month.

Quality Product - Prevent Viruses - Culinary Use?

Though I had not used oil of oregano for many years a friend reminded me of its benefits at the beginning of covid. It would appear many others had the same thought at the time, as they sold out often. My friend uses and swears by this oil, and starts using it every time she feels a cold come on. She has a depressed immune system, as do I. When this came back in stock I picked up a bottle and used it daily to prevent infection and viruses. I find this to be a STRONG quality product, and though it gave me heart burn (which I can be prone to occasionally) it seemed to increase my resistance. This tastes exactly as you would expect oregano to take....only MUCH stronger. I intend to try this with cooking as well. Though the bottle is small a little goes along way. I have been pleased so far anytime I have ordered this brand and recommend it.

Came Highly Recommended

A friend of mine has immune issues. She had been telling me for years when she took oil of oregano when she felt a cold or virus coming on she would immediately take it, then for the next day after and the symptoms were completely gone. I finally thought I would give it a try as more of preventative when my body was run down and my immune system was compromised. It seemed to prevent me from getting sick (although that can always be a little subjective). If you enjoy this product...keep it on hand so you have it when you need it. I am going to experiment with it in cooking because it has a strong aroma and taste.

One of the best

This is one of my favourite Oregano Oils to use. I really like that there is also Black Cumin seed oil in this one. I find it to be very effective and can handle it under my tongue and then swished with water without much problem. This is a very high quality Oregano Oil and works great! I purchased this brand when my other favourite was not in stock and am glad to have 2 to chose from that are just as effective! This is a great product and the price is reasonable for a good quality oregano oil at National Nutrition!

Oil of Oregano

Oregano is a perennial of the mint family having aromatic leaves. The name Oregano comes from the Greek word meaning "Joy of the Mountain". Four main chemical substances in oregano account for its tremendous healing qualities: alcohols, esters, phenols, and terpenes. Together these important substances are what really make Oil of Oregano such a powerful natural health aid. Phenols, such as carvacrol and thymol, act as antiseptics and antioxidants, while terpenes, which include pinene and terpinene, exhibit antiseptic, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and anesthetic properties. Linalool and bonreol are two long-chain alcohols found in oregano oil, which add to the antiviral and antiseptic qualities. Esters are potent antifungal agents. Two that are found in abundance in oregano oil are linalyl acetate and geranyl acetate.

Supporting the Immune System
The immune system is the police force of the body. It is a complex system of cells that defend the body from invading organisms, regulate inflammation and control abnormal cell growth.
