I gave this to a relative who could not tolerate raw foods and had constant heart burn. That was 5 years ago. She takes it to this day and says it was more helpful than any drug her doctor ever prescribed! I highly recommend it.

Magic
Slippery elm is amazing - my cat was struggling with constant digestive issues (vomiting, Diarrhea, constipation) and we put him on a small amount of slippery elm syrup (mix the powder with water and boil until it becomes a thin syrup) and his issues have improved dramatically. We were able to take him off of other unnatural laxative products. It helps to heal inflammatory bowel or irritable bowel. I plan to try it for myself next!

Literally my life in powder form
My essential daily survival kit must include slippery elm bark powder and this is a great, organic powder brand. I take 2 scoops (you could eat gravel and not notice, it's that helpful in sliding things through and healing - figurative reference only to gravel lol) in the morning in water - for me, along with Organic Clear Fiber by REnew Life (it provides me my inulin fiber because I can't get it from gluten, wheat or other forms). Great!

A must have for people with digestion issues
this slippery woman is a great product! It you have inflammation in your stomach or esophagus you need this product. I have a hard time digesting food and the food sits in my stomach for a long time. This causes acid reflux which irritates the lining of my stomach and my esophagus. I take super enzymes every time I eat and I also try my best to eat healthy. No gluten no flower no suger limited deep fried foods I drink slippery elm mixed with warm water and a little cinnamon every night before bed and it protects my stomach and esophagus lining from irritation. If you have these problems get this slippery elm!! It really works!!!
Slippery Elm has proven to relieve upset stomach and bowls condition among many others
The bark is used to protects stomach and bowel lining
Slippery elm is a tree that is native to North America and was first used by native North Americans. They discovered that when the bark was mixed with water it formed a thick mucus-like substance. Slippery elm is a demulcent, an agent that coats and protects mucosal surfaces. The active components in slippery elm are large carbohydrate molecules.
In the respiratory tract slippery elm decreases cough, speeds removal of mucus and helps to heal the tract. In the stomach and intestines slippery elm protects the lining from ulceration. Slippery elm also soothes the urinary tract and helps the skin to heal. Natural health practitioners recommend slippery elm for a variety of needs including sore throat, colds, coughs, bladder infections, digestive ulcers, burns, and wounds.
Slippery elm can be found in a variety of different forms including dried, powdered or encapsulated inner bark or liquid extract. It is often used as a lozenge, tea or drink. Topically slippery elm can be mixed with water and applied directly to the skin or onto a poultice.
Slippery elm is found in formulas for cold or cough relief, urinary tract health and ulcers. When purchasing slippery elm use only the inner bark. The outer bark contains medicinal components may be harmful and may cause miscarriage. The harvesting of the inner bark of slippery elm usually results in the death of the tree. You may want to inquire about the source and farming practices of the manufacturer of your chosen product.
Slippery elm may alter blood sugar levels by reducing the rate at which sugar is absorbed from the intestine. Therefore diabetics, hypoglycemic individuals and people using medication to regulate sugar levels should use slippery elm with caution. Slippery elm may also inhibit the absorption of other medications or supplements if they are taken at the same time.
