Tannin is commonly found in popular Black and Green teas. This is what gives them such distinct and mildly bitter taste and leaves a puckery feeling in your mouth. It is common belief that if you leave your teabag in your tea for too long, or let the tea steep it will get bitter. Not with Tega Rooibos. Our products have such low tannin, that we can steep our tea for hours without them ever getting bitter. In fact, the longer you steep your tea the higher the level of anti-oxidants will get!
