The History of AOR
AOR’s story started in 1991 when pharmacist Dr Traj Nibber was contacted by People With Aids (PWA), an advocacy group looking for hard-to-find formulas. Dr Nibber was shocked by the lack of availability of nutrients that had been proven by scientific research.
Dr Nibber was bewildered by not only the lack of natural health supplements but also the lack of innovation in the industry when the research was moving much faster. He wondered why companies weren’t willing to develop orthomolecular formulas that had been proven by science.
(The term "orthomolecular" refers to the use of vitamins, minerals, and other natural substances in the proper amount to achieve optimal health.)
Dr Nibber started supplying very specific formulas for PWA. But as word spread about Dr Nibber's willingness to help, and more people requested his formulas, he started to develop more standardized formulas that could reach more people.
Dr Nibber decided to create a company that would develop orthomolecular formulas that had been proven by science. He also wanted them to be made with high-quality ingredients so they could be trusted by customers who used them daily. This is how Advanced Orthomolecular Research (known as AOR) was born.
