Dr. Hauschka's Moisturizing Day Lotion is formulated for normal, dry skin and for skin which is low in moisture. Also suitable for supple, pale skin with a tendency to form wrinkles. Activates the lipid-moisture production of the skin. For combination skin, mix with Normalizing Day Oil. Recommended for both men and women' regardless of age.

How To Use

In the morning after the Cleansing Cream or Cleansing Milk and the application of the Facial Toner or Clarifying toner; spread evenly on the face, neck and decollete.

Special Features

Moisture-regulating base when using Rose Day cream or Quince Cream. In transitional periods and in the winter (dry, heated air) apply under the day care in the conditions mentioned above as daily base care.

Active Ingredient Spotlight

Anthyllis Vulneraria Extract
Also known as Woundwort or Kidney Vetch. Vulneraria means "wound healer". This plant is a member of the legume family and native to Southern Europe. Anthyllis is little known today, but was traditionally used to relieve spasms, detoxify, reduce swelling and promote wound healing. Elisabeth Sigmund studied anthyllis extensively. She observed a normalization of both oily and dry conditions and even severely irritated skin. Anthyllis has a generally stimulating and normalizing effect on the skin and the ability to stimulate the skin's natural functions and support its regeneration. It is a key plant in Dr.Hauschka Skin Care and found in many of our face care preparations and decorative cosmetics.

Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil
Apricot kernel oil is obtained from the seeds of apricot fruits by cold pressing and filtration. Lightweight, nurturing, and easily absorbed by the skin, apricot kernel oil is high in vitamins A and E and essential fatty acids. Especially soothing for sensitive, dry or sunburned skin, it helps to replenish the skin and maintain a healthy moisture balance within the skin. Similar to sweet almond oil in characteristics and scent, it is excellent for making oil extractions of healing plants. Our Apricot Kernel oil is gluten-free.

Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract
Witch hazel leaf and bark is rich in tannins that have toning and strengthening effects on the skin's proteins. A rhythmitised dilution of witch hazel contained in the Rhythmic Conditioners supports the skin's barrier function reducing reactivity of the skin and enlivening sluggish circulation.

Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil
Cold-pressed from the edible nut kernels (fruit) of the almond tree, sweet almond oil is an excellent skin-softening (emollient) oil historically used for centuries in skin care. It is mild, lightweight and easily absorbed into the skin as well as rich in unsaturated fats and essential fatty acids, such as linoleic acid. It has a calming and soothing effect especially against dry, itchy skin and improves the skin's barrier function.

Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil
Used as an extracting medium for certain herbs in Dr.Hauschka products, nourishing Olive Oil contains naturally occurring squalene, a component of the hydrolipid mantle layer of the skin (protective layer). Olive oil also has an excellent fatty acid composition which provides nutrients and care for the skin.

Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract
From the wild carrot also known as Queen Anne's lace, we obtain an oily extract which is rich in provitamin A (carotenoids) and other flavonoids. This extract cares for the skin and makes it soft and supple. It gives cosmetic products a natural yellow color.

Arachis Hypogaea (Peanut) Oil
Peanut oil is used as an extracting medium for many WALA Oil Extracts and as the base for the Body Oils. It has a neutral energy that does not interfere with healing herbs. It is a very stable oil, requiring no additional antioxidants. As a massage oil, it provides an ideal glide, weight and rate of absorption. Our peanut oil is steam treated and filtered to remove the proteins which are responsible for peanut allergies. Our peanut oil has been tested and certified as aflatoxin free.

Hypericum Perforatum (St. John's wort) Extract
St. John's wort is soothing to the skin and healing to wounds. It is particularly useful for strains, sprains, bruises, sciatica and back pain. One active ingredient, hypericin, has anti-inflammatory, nervine (calming) and antiseptic properties. It is often used in cosmetics for skin that is extremely sensitive, irritated or allergic.

Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract
An important healing herb, calendula is high in carotenes, flavonoids, mucilage, saponins, tannins and essential oils. The sun-like marigold contains soothing, anti-inflammatory, astringent, antiseptic and regenerating properties and is therefore used to promote wound healing and discourage infection.
