Did Not Chase Off My Date
I used this on a date - went for a hike in the forest - and it worked at keeping the blood suckers away. And kept my date safe too! He was impressed with the product being effective and not stinky like the metal can stuff of chemicals.

So-So
Love the smell.
Love that it is good for the body but doesn't really work in the forest for camping.
I found the other traditional products better which I don't like using and that is why I tried this, but for my kids and I we found that it wasn't as strong and didn't fight away the bugs. Could have been the area we were in, or the time of year when the bugs were out more but not sure?? It didn't really work for us.

It Works
Use it when fishing up in the Quebec hills. Millions of bugs in spring. Does the job without being oily or too smelly.

Didn't Work
I got this spray today. Generally I have to use some repellent because mosquitos love me. After applying this on my skin, within about an hour I had at least half a dozen bites.

PESKY MOSQUITO BITES

Q. During the summer I love spending time outdoors, but sometimes the mosquitoes get the better of me. Do you have any tips on how to prevent getting bit and also some steps I should follow if I have been bit?

A. No one likes a mosquito bite! Unfortunately, most commercial products made to ward off these nasty critters contain Deet. Deet, although effective, is absorbed through the skin and carried through the blood stream and lymph. It has been known to cause skin rash, lethargy, muscle spasm, nausea and in rare cases, even death. Understandably, many individuals are curious about natural and effective alternatives.

There are a variety of essential oils that may prove beneficial in keeping the bugs away. Among the most effective are citronella, eucalyptus, lemongrass, tea tree and lavender. Catnip and neem oil have also been shown to be an effective mosquito bite repellants. Essential oils should always be mixed with a carrier oil to protect the skin from irritation. 10 drops of essential oil mixed with 2 Tbsp of a carrier oil such as coconut, grapeseed or olive oil works well. You can also make a spray by mixing the essential oils of your choice from above with alcohol, such as vodka. DRY SKIN
The skin is the largest organ in the body. Its function is to act as a barrier to the external environment, allow the exchange of water and to modify vitamins. Dry skin can be simple or complex.

Simple dry skin occurs when the skin is deficient in natural oils and fails to hold water in skin cells. Oil normally lubricates the skin and acts as a barrier to avoid excessive evaporation of water from the upper layers of the dermis.
Simple dry skin usually occurs in women under the age of 35. Complex dry skin lacks both oil and moisture. The protein components of the skin may be damaged from prolonged UV exposure. Complex dry skin tends to develop brown spots, fine lines and enlarged pores. Complex dry skin usually affects older adults and is associated with aging.

Dry skin appears dull, scaly, flaky, chapped or cracked, and develops fine lines and wrinkles more readily than healthy skin. It may feel tight after washing and be relieved when moisturizer is applied. It most commonly occurs on areas of the body that are exposed to the elements. It can be caused by nutrient deficiencies, dehydration, environmental factors (like dry heat, sun or wind), chemical use, cosmetics, excessive bathing and harsh soaps.
