Based on the individual homeopathic constituents of Arnica-Heel, therapeutic possibilities result for the stimulation of the body's own defenses, especially in the case of inflammation, abscesses, phlegmons, empyema, angina tonsillaris, pyelitis, cystitis, influenza, polyarthritis and reaction phases of all kinds, particularly when there is a tendency for sepsis to develop. Also for meningitis irritation and otitis media (in addition to Chelidonium-Homaccord), poly sinusitis (in addition to Traumeel tablets and possibly Naso-Heel). Arnica-Heel is an important complementary remedy to numerous other Heel biotherapeutical agents, e.g. to Traumeel tablets, Mercurius-Heel, Osteoheel, Cruroheel, Belladonna-Homaccord, Aconitum-Homaccord, etc. (also, for example, to Psorinoheel and Galium-Heel, when there is resistance to therapy), to Lymphomyosot in Iymphatic diathesis and renal diseases (Albumoheel, Reneel, Berberis-Homaccord, Plantago-Homaccord, etc.) also for scarlet fever, Iymphangitis, carbuncles, furuncles, endocarditis, polyarthritis rheumatica, for abscesses and phlegmons, and further, to be administered for contusions, dislocations, fractures and injuries of all kinds (in alternation with, or in exchange for Traumeel liquid). The dosage is adjusted according to the disease, the clinical appearance and the stage of the illness: 10 drops 2-4 times daily. In acute disorders, 10 drops every 15 minutes for several hours.
What is Arnica?
Arnica, also called wolfs bane or leopards bane, produces a yellow flower and is a member of the daisy family (compositaceae or asteraceae.)
Arnica preparations have been and still are very popular as a remedy for sprains, bruises, and various swellings. Arnica is often used in homoeopathic preparations for the same indications. The German Commission E recognizes the topical use of arnica for injuries and sequels of accidents (e.g. hematoma, sprains, contusions and edema due to fractures); rheumatic muscle and joint problems; inflammation caused by insect bites; superficial phlebitis.
What is the difference between arthritis, arthrosis, gout and rheumatism?
Arthritis: Joint inflammation. Often used to indicate a group of more than 100 rheumatic diseases.
Arthrosis: Chronic, degenerative and non-inflammatory disease that primarily affects cartilage, causing it to fray, wear, ulcerate, and in extreme cases, disappear entirely, leaving a bone on bone joint.
Gout: Type of arthritis that results from too much uric acid in the body. This causes pain, swelling and tenderness in the joints. Gout most often affects the big toe but can also affect the ankle, knee, foot, hand, wrist and elbow.
Rheumatism: Used to describe any painful conditions of muscles, tendons, joints and bones.
What else can be done to reduce pain due to cartilage degeneration?
Fast food, cigarette, on-going stress, upset glandular and immune systems are factors which influence muscular and joint inflammation.
Special attention to your diet is recommended. As much as possible, avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, dairy products, eggs, red meat and fast food.
Eat lots of fruits and fresh vegetables.
Stretching exercises help maintain or recover muscle and tendon flexibility.
