Red Raspberry
Red Raspberry can be very helpful for women with PMS,menopausal symptoms, hormone imbalances and more ...
There is much more to this plant than the tasty red berries it produces. The greenery has been used for centuries as a female tonic, pregnancy supportive herb and nutritive herb. The mechanism for red raspberries hormonal regulating activity is not known. It is used for menstrual complaints like heavy bleeding and cramps, and menopausal complaints, like hot flashes.
During pregnancy, red raspberry strengthens the uterus and regulates muscle activity. It can be helpful for morning sickness because it reduces irritation in the stomach. It also helps with indigestion and diarrhea by regulating intestinal contractions. Red raspberry contains many vitamins and minerals, making it a nutritive herb. This helps to support the growth of nails, bones, teeth, skin and, in pregnancy, the fetus.
Red raspberry supplements can be purchased as encapsulated herb or loose herb. It is popularly consumed as a tea but don't expect it to taste like raspberries because the berries are not the medicinally active part of the plant. Red raspberry can be found in formulas for hormonal balancing and indigestion.
Red raspberry should not be used in pregnancies that are at risk for preterm labour.
