Apple Pie Infused Water
Beat the water blahs with this delicious makeover. Water infusing is something we see a lot of these days, and with its added nutrients and bold taste, its no wonder why everyone is jumping onboard. This is an easy way to reach your daily water quota without feeling forced. And the best part about this blend, it’s also like eating a slice of apple pie without the calories – bonus!
Makes as much or as little as you want
- Gluten Free - Dairy Free - Sugar Free
Ingredients:
- 1 apple, sliced
- 6 cloves, whole
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 nutmegs, whole
- water
Directions:
- De-core your apple and cut it into slices.
- Take out your favourite glass jar that has a sealed lid; mason jars work well!
- Fill the jar with your apple slices and remaining ingredients.
- Add in your favourite water; tap, ionized, reverse osmosis, spring etc.
- Seal the lid tight and place in the fridge – water should mull together over night to ensure all the flavours are unlocked.
Make It This Way
Due to their sweetness factor, red apples seem to work best for this recipe.
If you’re not a fan of one of the spices listed above, try swapping it out. You could add in a vanilla bean stick or try anise instead – both of which will enhance the water and add a wholesome taste.
Try This
We all get in those ruts when we don’t feel like drinking just water. This is a great way to mix things up. Make an entire pitcher and keep it in the fridge for the whole family – it’s a healthy alternative to sugary beverages.
