Why Detoxify the Liver?
Detoxifying and rebuilding the liver helps maintain optimum health. It can also help with numerous health concerns like allergies, candida, skin problems, depression, weight gain, headaches, PMS, menopause, digestive problems and common liver ailments like gallstones, alcoholism, jaundice and hepatitis. It quickly becomes obvious that detoxifying the liver can help everyone.
New Roots Liver Formula includes some of the best nutrients for liver health, including:
Milk Thistle- Silymarin Extract One of the most powerful liver detoxifiers and rebuilders is milk thistle. Milk thistle contains silymarin, which helps increase the liver's ability to detoxify a wide range of hormones, drugs and chemicals. Silymarin also prevents liver damage and encourages the growth of new liver cells, replacing old damaged ones, making silymarin one of the most potent liver protecting substances known. Milk thistle is used for all liver disorders, including hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, poisoning, alcoholism and gallstones.
Dandelion- Flavonoids Extract Dandelion root is also a very powerful liver herb and tonic. It eases the congestion of the liver, promotes the flow of bile by the liver and the gallbladder, making it extremely valuable in treating bile duct inflammation, hepatitis, gallstones and jaundice. It is also a wonderful herb for detoxifying the liver.
Curcumin- Curcumin, a powerful antioxidant, has been proven to be extremely effective for treating gallstones and numerous other liver disorders. Curcumin helps to increase bile by over 100%, helping to protect the liver from alcohol abuse, chemicals and other toxins.
Artichoke- Cynarin Extract Artichoke can boast many of the same incredible liver properties as milk thistle. It protects the liver from toxins and poisons, increases bile, and helps to regenerate liver cells, making it useful for a wide range of liver and gallbladder problems.
Black Radish- Black radish is one the best herbs to use during active detoxifying of the liver and for gallbladder congestion. It is a must for anyone on a liver cleansing program.
Beets- Beets are superb for detoxifying the liver, and are extremely valuable for liver and gallbladder problems. They are also one of the most valuable foods for women's health concerns that involve the liver, like menopause and PMS It is also known to be a wonderful blood tonic.
Alpha Lipoic Acid- Alpha Lipoic Acid is a powerful antioxidant that offers remarkable aid to the liver. It can be used to detoxify even to detoxify heavy metals and for liver cirrhosis.
What is Standardization?
To standardize a herb is to bring out the herb's most active and therapeutic components, or to establish a marker for components believed to be the active components, and to ensure that these components are present in the formula in a specified amount. Some herbs are standardized because some of the herb's components have been shown to be more active than others, and some herbs are used in their whole form, since it is believed that in some herbs, all of the herb's components work synergistically for the most therapeutic effect.
Detoxification
The liver processes the majority of toxins in the body. It excretes most of the processed toxins through the bile and into the intestine. Most medications are also processed in the liver. If you are on recommendation medication consult your health professional before cleansing the liver.
Detoxification involves dietary, supplemental and physical interventions. It usually focuses on one or more of the main organs of detoxification, the liver, kidneys, bowels, lungs or skin.
Your body needs a variety of vitamins, minerals, and other molecules so that it can process and excrete toxins. It is important for you to help your body by giving it a variety of fresh and nutritious foods. These suggestions are intended as a guide. Do not consume any food that you are sensitive to even if it is listed here.
Try to Avoid:packaged or fast foods, coffee, black tea, chocolate, alcohol, white sugar, salt, condiments, tobacco, dairy products, fried food, preservatives or artificial sweeteners
Try to Consume: 2L of filtered water daily, herbal teas and 100% pure fruit juices. Eat fresh or steamed fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, fish, soy products, nuts, seeds, cold pressed vegetable oils and spices. Drink a glass of warm water with the juice of half a lemon each morning. This simple act will regulate bowel and liver function
Exercise Regularly: Moderate physical exercise increases circulation and helps the body to eliminate toxins. Reduce your stress level because stress is an additional burden on the organs of detoxification. Brush your skin daily (towards the heart) with a natural fibre brush. This stimulates the immune system and increases circulation. At the end of your shower alternate several rounds of hot and cold water (30 second to 1 minute intervals) always ending with cold. This hydrotherapy treatment increases the immune system and aids in detoxification. Sauna treatments will also increase the effectiveness of detoxification but make sure to increase your fluid intake to avoid dehydration.
